The Sindh government has decided to close the shrine again in view of the growing cases of Karuna.
The decision to close the shrine was taken at a meeting chaired by Minister for Endowments Sohail Anwar Sial on Saturday, March 27, while the wedding of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar was also canceled.
The decision was made due to the spread of Karuna in Sindh. The shrines will be closed from March 28 to April 8.
It may be recalled that the shrine of Lal Shahbaz Qalandar in Sehwan was opened to the public on March 24 under strict SOPs. Lal Shahbaz Qalandar's Urs was to start from 18 Shaban.
Earlier, the shrine was closed on March 15 due to the third wave of Corona.
The Sindh government had also canceled the annual Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar last year due to the Karuna epidemic.
