Earlier in the day, the government had decided to make government accommodation a permanent source of income instead of a university.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had said on August 19, 2018 that I think we should make PM House a high quality university, which will do research and invite the world's greatest scholars here.
However, now the PTI government has taken a U-turn from Imran Khan's announcement and decided to rent out the Prime Minister's House to make it a source of permanent income.
