Government announces closure of educational institutions till July 15

The government has announced to keep schools and educational institutions closed till July 15.


During a media briefing in Islamabad, Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood announced that schools and educational institutions would remain closed till July 15. He said that examinations of all boards have been canceled. Ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth grade students will be promoted to the next classes based on previous results.

On the occasion, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for National Security Division, Moeed Yousaf, said that 7,500 people stranded abroad were being brought back this week and next.

Regarding Corona, Prime Minister's Focal Person Dr. Faisal Sultan said that Corona cases may increase in the coming days. Caution is an individual responsibility. Citizens will play a key role in preventing the spread of the disease.
