Islamabad United defeated Quetta Gladiators by 10 wickets



  In the 18th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6, Islamabad United defeated Quetta Gladiators by 10 wickets.


In the match being played in Abu Dhabi, Islamabad United achieved the target of 134 runs given by Quetta Gladiators in the 10th over of the innings.


Islamabad openers Colin Monroe and Usman Khawaja batted aggressively and put pressure on Quetta bowlers from the start of the innings.


Colin Monroe scored an unbeaten 90 while Usman Khawaja played a brilliant innings of 41 runs.


Earlier, Islamabad United won the toss and elected to field against Quetta Gladiators. Quetta Gladiators were all out for 133 in the allotted 20 overs.


Gladiators' Jack Weatherall scored 43 while Azam Khan scored 23 runs.


For Islamabad, Hassan Ali, Mohammad Waseem and Mohammad Musa took two wickets each.


It is to be noted that the team of Islamabad United does not have the services of all-rounder Faheem Ashraf who is suffering from injury.

Agreement between PITB and Chirp Technologies to make Lahore a smart city

  Punjab Information Technology Board and Chirp Technologies will work together to make Lahore a smart city. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in this regard at a function held at Arfa Tower, signed by Director General PITB Faisal Yousuf and CEO Cherp Technologies Asif Hussain.  The ceremony was attended by senior officials of both the institutions.  The new system will enable real-time monitoring and management of other smart city applications in the city, including air quality sensors, waste bin sensors and street light sensors.

Pakistan will not provide any base to US: PM Imran Khan

     Prime Minister Imran Khan refused to provide bases in Pakistan after the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan. In an interview with an American TV channel, he said that it was not possible for Pakistan to allow the CIA or US special forces to carry out any operation in Afghanistan from Pakistani soil. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the United States wanted to sit in other countries and keep an eye on the militants during the withdrawal from Afghanistan, so it was in talks with Pakistan for cooperation.  A few days before Prime Minister Imran Khan's interview, Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry had termed the news of US Air Base in Pakistan as baseless and said that there was no truth in such allegations. Mud volcano in Balochistan

  So far 18 mudflats or mud volcanoes have been discovered in Balochistan. One of them, Chandra Gupta, said to be the world's tallest mud volcano.
