Kenya's Chief of Defense Forces Meet President Dr. Arif Alawi
The President said that high level political and military contacts were needed to promote mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Kenya.
President Dr. Arif Alawi has said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Kenya and is keen to further enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade, economy and defense. He was talking to Kenya's Chief of Defense Forces General Robert Kryuki Kibuchi, who met him here on Wednesday.
President said that Kenya is an important East African country in Pakistan's "Luck Africa Policy" and Pakistan wants to develop closer political, economic and defense ties with Kenya.
He apprised General Robert Kryoki Kibuchi of the potential of Pakistan's defense industry and stressed the need for exchange of defense delegations to explore areas of mutual interest.
Highlighting Pakistan's success in tackling the Code-19 epidemic, President Dr. Arif Alvi said that the Pakistani nation has shown the best discipline in this regard.
He said that Pakistan's role in stabilizing Africa has been exemplary, adding that Pakistan Army is the largest contributor to UN peacekeeping missions in Africa.
General Robert Kryuki Kibuchi praised the capabilities of Pakistan's defense industry and the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and their role in promoting peace and security, especially in Africa.
He stressed the need to enhance cooperation between the two countries' forces, especially in the field of military training, and said that there was scope for expanding cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense.
