Sugar prices rise again in Pakistan
Sugar is being sold at Rs 97 per kg from sugar mills and up to Rs 99 per kg in the wholesale market.
The price of sugar in the country has started selling at Rs 105 per kg. The government had fixed the price of sugar at Rs 85 per kg. Sugar is being sold at Rs 97 per kg from sugar mills and up to Rs 99 per kg in the wholesale market.
According to the details, there is a fear of increase in the price of sugar per kg in the retail market. The price of sugar from sugar mills has reached Rs 97 per kg.
The government had fixed the price of sugar at Rs 85 per kg. Sugar is available in the wholesale market up to Rs 99 per kg. Sugar is being sold at Rs 105 per kg at retail outlets.
It has been reported that the ex-millet rate of 100 kg sack of sugar has gone up by Rs. Prices of various brands of sugar in the wholesale market range from Rs 9,900 to Rs 10,000 per 100 kg.
Retail sugar prices are also expected to rise in the next two days. Similarly, the prices of sugar, ghee and coking oil have gone up sharply in the country. Various companies have increased the prices of ghee and coking oil.
In the wholesale market, the price of sugar has gone up from Rs 94 per kg to Rs 100. A 50 kg bag of sugar has gone up from Rs 4,700 to Rs 5,000.
The price of first grade ghee has gone up by Rs 38 per kg. Ghee increased from Rs 305 to Rs 343.The price of second grade ghee has been increased by Rs. 15 per kg due to which the price of second grade ghee has increased from Rs. 270 to Rs. 285.
Inflation in the country has started rising since the presentation of the federal budget for the next financial year 2021-22. Since the budget was presented, inflation in the country has risen by 0.28 per cent in June and the average annual rate of inflation has risen to 14.52 per cent.
Rising inflation since the domestic budget is affecting the government's statement on a people-friendly budget.
